GoldenBuds Grow Lights Compared: 100W Quantum Board vs 120W Spider

Two retail fixtures and two contract-manufacturing platforms, all built on the same tested LED platform in our Shenzhen factory. This page puts them side by side so you can pick one — or so you can hand us a specification and ask for the equivalent on the other three.

Short answer: for a 2x2 ft grow tent, the 120W spider is the better fit — its bar form throws light sideways across the canopy and its dimmer lets you dial intensity by growth stage. For seedlings and greens across a 4x4 ft footprint, the 100W quantum board spreads light more evenly at a lower price. If you are buying under your own brand, both retail fixtures and the two OEM platforms below are available for private label from 100 pcs per model.

All four share the same in-house test discipline: PPFD or irradiance is measured and reported for your batch, not quoted from a diode bin sheet.

The two retail fixtures in detail

100W Quantum Board (GB-QB-100W)

  • Best for: seedlings, herbs, leafy greens, and small greenhouse runs where even coverage matters more than raw intensity
  • Spectrum: full spectrum 380–780 nm, Samsung-class diodes on a passive aluminium board
  • Measured data: at 18 in (30x30 in grid, 100% power) center ≈ 428 µmol/m²/s, corners ≈ 351 µmol/m²/s
  • Efficacy: ≈ 1.85 µmol/J; UL-listed driver; AC 100–277V; no fans
  • Price: $49.99

120W Spider (GB-SPIDER-120W)

  • Best for: 2x2 ft tents and shelves where a bar fixture reaches the canopy edges better than a square panel
  • Spectrum: full spectrum plus a separate UV switch (380–400 nm) for late-flower runs
  • Measured data: at 12 in (24x24 in grid, 100% power) center ≈ 512 µmol/m²/s, corners ≈ 386 µmol/m²/s
  • Control: 0–100% dimmer knob, daisy-chainable across fixtures; ≈ 1.75 µmol/J
  • Price: $59.99

The two OEM platforms

  • Aquarium LED — 15–120W fixtures for reef and planted tanks: CRI 90+, PAR mapped at the substrate, sealed anodised housing, Bluetooth or driver dimming. Evaluation samples are free and ship before tooling is committed.
  • Red light therapy panel — 630–660 nm and 810–850 nm bands, reported as an irradiance map across the panel rather than a centre figure, panel sizes from 300 × 150 mm to 600 × 300 mm, fanless cooling options.

Both run on standard OEM terms: MOQ from 100 pcs per model, 30% deposit against an accepted sample, 70% against the bill of lading, and 8–12 weeks on an existing platform. Full terms live in the OEM / ODM process and the private label page.

FAQ

Which is better for a 2x2 ft grow tent, the 100W quantum board or the 120W spider?

The 120W spider. Its bar form factor distributes light sideways across a 2x2 ft veg footprint instead of down onto one spot, and the dimmer lets you match intensity to the growth stage. The 100W quantum board only reaches 2x2 ft in bloom and is the better choice when your footprint is wider and shallower.

What is the difference in price between the two grow lights?

The 100W quantum board is $49.99 and the 120W spider is $59.99. Both include the driver; neither requires a separate controller.

Can I private label these fixtures for my own brand?

Yes. All four platforms are available for private label from 100 pcs per model — your logo, packaging and artwork on fixtures we have already designed, tested and sold at retail. See private label terms.

Do you publish measured test data for these lights?

Yes. The PPFD figures above are measured on a grid across the canopy, and measured values for your production batch are available on request with any order.

For sizing by area and photoperiod, use the PPFD & DLI calculator; for choosing against any supplier — including us — see the 12-question manufacturer checklist.
